1922 when a disgruntled fan
described the student body’s
actions as behaving “Like a
wolf pack.”
North Carolina State Football Fast Facts
- Football was first played at the school in 1892. What was then known as The North
Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, played a team from the Raleigh Male
Academy.
- The University joined the ACC Conference as a charter member of the newly formed
conference in 1953.
