Eric Crouch 2001 Heisman Trophy Winner
Eric Crouch’s Dual Threat Helps Him to Run For The Heisman
Eric Crouch was a dual threat at Nebraska and before his Husker
career was over he had amassed 7,915 total yards setting the big 12
record for career total offense. With Crouch so adept at running and
throwing, he became just the 13th player in NCAA Division 1-A history
to both run and pass for 1000 yards in the same season.
Crouch was drafted as a wide receiver in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams with the 95th overall pick. He continued his professional football career with many teams including the Kansas City Chiefs, the Hamburg Sea Devils, the Toronto Argonauts, and the Omaha Nighthawks.
After Crouch retired from his football career, he worked as the sales territory manager for a major medical company and went on to start his own company, Crouch Recreation. His company specializes in sales of playground and recreation equipment.
