The Green Bay Packers are the NFL's leader in championship seasons with decades of dominating performance that emerged in the late 1920s.  Known as "Titletown", Green Bay has fielded 13 world championship teams.  with the wins, a long line of Packer legends have emerged to take their lofty place in NFL history and are a leader among Super Bowl winning franchises.  As the Packers head coach, Vincent T. The Packers were Super before there was a Super Bowl

Prior to the Packers leading the early championship charge at the beginning of the Super Bowl era, Green Bay was a dominant NFL force.  With Head Coach Vince Lombardi leading the franchise, the Packers earned NFL titles in 1961, 1962 and 1065.  Lombardi restored the team's championship success back to the levels once achieved by Curly Lambeau's Packers.  Not only was Lambeau a founder of the franchise, but he also made his mark as a player and coach of the team.  Lambeau coached the team for 31 seasons and led the Packers to six NFL titles.  Two months after his death in 1965, the franchise's New City Stadium was renamed "Lambeau Field."
