Trent Edwards Collegiate Career
|
After Trent Edwards final High School season in 2001, the Los Gatos High product was one of the most highly regarded prospects gaining collegiate attention. Edwards was rated by Rivals as the #2 Pro Style QB entering college and the 20th best player overall.
Despite being recruited by Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida and Tennessee, Edwards opted to stay in California and play for Stanford. Although injuries plagued Edwards' Stanford career, he was still rated as a top NFL prospect following the 2006 season. ESPN's Mel Kiper had Trent Edwards rated as the draft's 3rd best QB behind JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn.
