Cubs ready to regain top status in 2010
Chicago hopes to improve their status in the NL Central where they finished 7.5 games behind the Cardinals for the
division crown.  Although they were relegated to 2nd place status in the division, the team still finished within striking
distance of another playoff spot.

As Chicago seeks to gain postseason status this year, they will count heavily on a strong nucleus of players that
fans hope will fuel a championship drive.

First baseman Derrick Lee is a spark plug and a fan favorite of Cubs fans.  Lee led the cubs in home runs and RBI's
